  • Make this a family outing and camp out there for the weekend! Anyone setting up a tent/gazebo for overnight use need to pay $11.50 per adult and $2.30 per school age child (children under 5 free) to Gore District Council. Click here to make overnight booking and payment. We suggest set up is done before the event starts at 12pm Saturday
  • Where we say runners, this means people who will just run AND people who will just walk AND everyone else (those who will walk and run)!
  • Runners need to register at least 30 minutes before their event starts at Registration Tent, Dolamore Park, and attend a race briefing 15minutes before the start of their event at the same place
  • The Whiskey Creek Trail is muddy and slippery in places, with rocks and roots across the track. Rain before or during the event will make conditions more slippery so care needs to be taken. The course will be marked with pink ribbon and signs. Once you have done a couple of laps we hope you get the idea!!
  • Please look out for other runners and assist them if needed
  • First aid will be available back at Dolamore Park
  • There are 2 short sections of road at Dolamore Park and the end of Domain Road that runners will cross or run along a short distance. It is the runner's responsibility to watch out for vehicles and give way when necessary
  • Whiskey Creek Track is a public track and other members of the public may be using tracks out there, watch out for them and greet them on the way past!
  • Runners are to make sure they wear the appropriate clothing and bring their own food and hydration of choice, though there will be an aid Station beyond the timing tent at Dolamore Park with water, some electrolytes and food. There will also be food and coffee available for purchase for runners and supporters at Dolamore Park
  • Runners in the 6, 12 and 24 hour event will need a good headlamp and backup headlamp or batteries between the hours of 6:30pm and 7am.
  • We are using electronic timing and each runner will have a bib with a timing chip on it. This must be worn at all times and at the completion of each lap, runners must make sure they pass over the timing mat which will be in the timing tent on the trail through Dolamore Park for that lap to count. Runners may then carry on or go to their supporters or aid station. When they start their next lap DO NOT cross over the timing mat again but carry on, back onto the trail from where you are, beyond the timing mat are as the timing is continuous until the event is finished. If you are aiming for a fast lap don't stop!
  • Runners may take as much time as they like in between laps
  • A runner's last lap must be completed before 12pm Sunday to count
  • Prize giving will be just after 12pm Sunday at the conclusion of the running
  • Prizes will be awarded to the male and female in each category that has the most number of laps finished in the fastest time (i.e. if 2 runners finish with the same number of laps in their event,  the one who finished their last lap first will be the winner
  • There will be a prize also for the overall fastest lap (for males and females) - Sponsors Pro Health Physiotherapy
  • Spot prizes will be drawn and given out to runners who are present at the prize giving
  • There will be a few serious competitors out there but above all our hope is that you enjoy this, have fun, meet some new people, take in the beautiful bush and surroundings and challenge yourselves.
